7 Bets NFL Bets to Make

During the NFL season, it’s not hard to find NFL odds for all of the games that are set to take place. Betting on the NFL just continues to get more and more popular, and that is something that is never going to change.

When it comes to betting on the NFL, you are going to see plenty of options, but not all of them are built the same. There are always those betting options that are going to be more popular than others, and some betting options are more valuable as well.

If you are planning on betting on the NFL anytime soon then these are the bets that you should consider making.

Against the Spread

When it comes to betting on the NFL, betting against the spread is always going to be the option that tends to stand out. You are going to hear “betting against the spread” used often when talking about the NFL as that is the most popular bet to make.

The spread really matters when it comes to the NFL, and it’s always nice to be able to bet against the spread and get odds set at -110 for each side. When you look at betting on NFL games, you should always be checking out the spread first.

Over/Under

Betting against the spread might be the most popular bet when it comes to the NFL, but betting the point total is another good option as well. This type of bet is known as an over/under and it’s something that can actually be combined with the spread or moneyline.

The over/under deals with the total number of points scored in a game, and there are just two options to choose from. As long as you correctly pick the over or under then you will be getting yourself a nice payout.

Moneyline

When you are checking out NFL lines, you are going to see the moneyline listed for each team first. This is typically what you are going to focus on when it comes to other sports, but betting the moneyline can be a solid option for the NFL as well.

It’s pretty simple to bet the moneyline as this bet only looks at the winning team in each matchup. Betting the moneyline won’t always lead to a big payday, but it’s a simple bet to win.

Futures Betting

If you aren’t looking to bet on an individual NFL game then you should consider making a futures bet on the NFL. This type of bet doesn’t look at an individual game but instead looks at an outcome that won’t take place until way down the road.

You can usually get a nice payout when making a futures bet, especially if you are looking to bet on the eventual Super Bowl champion.

Parlay

If you are looking for a huge win then putting together a parlay is going to be your best option for that. Parlay betting involves adding several different legs into one single wager in an effort to increase the potential payout.

You are in complete control when making a parlay, and you can use several different betting types for this type of bet. Be warned that you are also making this bet harder to win every time that you add another leg.

Teaser

There are going to be times when the Vegas NFL odds don’t look to have a ton of value and you have to be willing to move on. You actually have another option besides moving on though, and that is when you should look into a teaser bet.

A teaser is a way for you to buy some additional points so that you can then make your spread bet much easier to win. It’s pretty common to see a teaser bet included in a parlay so that there is a bit more insurance involved.

Prop Betting

Prop betting is now available on every sport that is out there, but it will always be more closely associated with football and the NFL. When it comes to prop betting, you will be able to bet on both player and team props.

The biggest reason for betting on props is that you are going to find plenty of value in most of the odds that are available. You will see plenty of bets available and it’s important to target in on the top options.
